What are the main differences, in terms of performance and functionality, between the built-in Cloudflare option in Bluehost (which still uses Bluehost name servers) and the free Cloudflare plan option on cloudflare.com (which would use the Cloudflare name servers)? Thank you
Performance-wise, it’s the same. Functionality-wise, I’d go with the Cloudflare Free Plan any day. You’re in complete control of all your site settings on Cloudflare, and if your canonical URL isn’t ‘www’, it will still work (Bluehost doesn’t support naked domain, like example.com, on their Cloudflare integration…it has to be redirected to ‘www’).
