Here is a concrete case: a user used the IP address Cloudflare 172.71.131.104 on 05/27/2023 at 17:03:09, I want to know the original IP address of this user in order to blocklist him in the WAF

Is it possible ? If yes, how please ?

To expand on the information @GeorgeAppiah shared, you need to have that configuration in place beforehand. You will not be able to obtain the addresses used by past visitors.

If you do not instruct your server to log the actual visitor IPs before a connection is made, there is no way to obtain that information.

I see no reason not to use such a configuration in all cases.
