Blocked counties and hosts still accessing my website

I have set up a country block for Russia and a host block for any host containing “compute.amazonaws.com”, in my Firewall Rules, yet I see that both are still occasionally getting access to my website.

Any ideas?

How are you seeing that they’re still getting through?

Does your server block any requests that don’t come from Cloudflare IP addresses? This would stop bad actors from going direct to your origin.

I did reply to this, but my message got blocked by Cloudflare as spam?!?

I have received messages through my website “contact us” form fromIP addresses located in Russia and India, as well as the AmazonAWS host, all of which I have set a blocks up for in my firewall rules.

I have also seen Russian IP addresses when I look at my who’s online page.

Not sure what you mean by “Does your server block any requests that don’t come from Cloudflare IP addresses”?

The question was if access to your server is restricted to Cloudflare’s IPs only. By a firewall or htaccess rules.

Sorry, still a bit lost regarding the question. Why would I want my server to be restricted to Cloudflare’s IP’s only?
