Block IPs by Edge Status code 499

Hello,

How can I block specific IP automatically if too many requests with 499 (Client Closed Request) were made in the past? These requests are easily to find in Analytics & Logs → Traffic tab and are mostly made by crawlers bots who never waits for all page to be loaded.

ex. Block/Managed Challenge IP 1000 requests with status code 499 were made in the past 24 hrs.

… Honestly, I have no idea why Cloudflare don’t block this traffic automatically.

You won’t be able to block traffic for that type of criteria. The best way to block reoccurring traffic is with rate limiting rules - Rate limiting rules
