What is the issue you’re encountering

I’ve registered a domain with cloudflare but was not provided the records needed to resolve my domain. I aparently need a root/apex or @ DNS record so my all my dns records can resolve. I want to create some dns records to access some home lab applications from outside my LAN. so app1.example.com. but I dont belive I need example.com being pointed to my public IP address.
