Base url doesn't work anymore after setting up cloudflare nameservers

What is the issue you’re encountering

My domain is registered at Squarespace. Since I’ve set up cloudflare as the nameservers, the base url (which should point to an aws hosted web app) no longer works and says it has too many redirects. The subdomain that I have created on cloudflare that points to a cloudflare tunnel works perfectly though.

You will have disabled encryption on Cloudflare.

Make sure your encryption mode is set to Full Strict and nothing else.

This solved it, thank you! It was set to “Flexible”.

Yeah, Flexible is an outdated, legacy mode which disables encryption and why that did not work.
