Bank getting 503 from webhook

Hello,

A client of mine has a webhook set up for Global Payments to use, but they keep getting 503 responses from it. The page works fine for me via my browser and also when I POST to it via Postman.

Global Payments have confirmed that they get ‘cloudflare’ in the response, and the results of cdn-cgi/trace are:

fl=21f528
h= (redacted)
ip=165.225.199.109
ts=1622214470.832
visit_scheme=https
uag=Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/90.0.4430.212 Safari/537.36
colo=LHR
http=http/1.1
loc=GB
tls=TLSv1.2
sni=plaintext
warp=off
gateway=off

I’ve created a firewall rule for the webhook URL so that the security level, integrity check etc doesn’t apply to it, and I have Bot Fight Mode on. The firewall rule hasn’t been triggered once so it looks like they aren’t even getting that far.

If you have any ideas, I’d appreciate them.

I’m guessing you already looked at the Firewall Event Log?

As 503 is a Rate Limit, do you have Rate Limiting enabled? It’s also possible the server is rate limiting requests through LHR.
