Azure subdomain link bypasses Cloudflare

#1

I have successfully setup Cloudflare on my domain. The DNS resolved successfully and my domain is working through Cloudflare WAF without any issues. I can access my domain properly. Now, before setting up a custom domain on Azure, the website was working at a temporary URL. Now that the actual domain is properly pointed to https://www.mydomain.com and WAF is active, the previous temporary URL i.e., https://mydomain.azurewebsites.net/ is still working. I guess opening this link directly bypasses Cloudflare. Am I Correct? If yes, what is the solution?

Thanks in advance,

Pradeep

Assuming that URL points straight to Microsoft, you’d be correct regarding the bypassing. Only Microsoft can assist you in this regard. You’d basically need to deactivate that URL.
