AWS Route53 -> Cloudflare DNS Pending

I’m trying to change the registrar from AWS Route53 to cloudflare, but in cloudflare it’s still in pending status. I don’t have DNSSEC turned on, so it’s not the case. Also nslookup shows, that nameservers answer from cloudflare nameservers, but the zone is still in pending.

Are you transferring the domain registration or just adding the site to Cloudflare? Make sure the domain is added to Cloudflare before changing the domain registration.

What is the domain?

Hi there,

You can’t simply add your Cloudflare assigned nameservers to awsdns and have your domain going through aws and then Cloudflare.
For the zone to become active you have to replace your current nameservers for the ones assigned by Cloudflare.
Cloudflare Nameservers have to be the only nameservers set at your authoritative DNS.

Take care.

But in cloudflare is said, that i need to replace the AWS NC with Cloudflare NS, so i did it.

The domain is lookinlabs.com and it’s added to Cloudflare.

Here’s the cloudflare screenshot saying that i just need to replace the NS in my registrar.

As @mcorreia said, you have just added the Cloudflare nameservers as NS records in the AWS DNS. Instead you need to change the nameservers from AWS to Cloudflare in the domain registration instead.

Then your whole DNS will be in Cloudflare and you won’t use AWS DNS.
