Description
Automatic verification for emails with domains on the same Cloudflare account.
Benefit
Currently all emails used for email routing destinations have to be individually verified. If a domain is registered to a Cloudflare account I would argue that it is safe to assume that the emails are owned by the account owner.
If a user owns a.com & b.com on their Cloudflare account. When a user tries to setup [email protected] to redirect to [email protected] using email routing they should not need to verify the email.
It seems to me you’re missing two important points:
– Owning/controlling the domain in your Cloudflare account does not mean every user on the domain wants to reveive the email you’re forwarding. In a one-man shop, maybe. But in a corporate environment, a big no-no.
– The verification emails are not just to verify email account ownership. They also verify the destination address CAN receive emails. In your example, I don’t see how having both a.com
and b.com
in the same Cloudflare account proves that [email protected]
can receive emails forwarded to it.
Or am I missing something here?
