Automatic proxy status

Hi All
Is it possible to activate the proxy status permanently for the A name record? The reason is that sometimes my internet connection drops off for less than a second. As a result the public IP address changes. The Direct engine software converts the local IPs to public IPs and also the IP address for the A name record is changed in the Cloudflare DNS records. When this occurs I need to go to Cloudflare and switch the proxy to on status. Any suggestion on the issue?
Hopefully, I explained the above clearly.
Thank you

I’m confused by this part

The Direct engine software converts the local IPs to public IPs and also the IP address for the A name record is changed in the Cloudflare DNS records.

It sounds like the software is disabling the proxy status of the record. If that is the case then you should look at the software as to why it does that.

Thank you for the prompt response, let me not reference the software to avoid confusion. It is similar to the same as noip.com or any other software which converts the local IP to public/static IP. I don’t own a static public IP address hence using the software.

Thanks for the clarification. My guess is that when the software is changing the IP address it overwrites the proxy status, so you should ask the developers for a feature to not do that for Cloudflare.

You can also look at other DDNS clients

Thank you for the suggestion. I have reached out to the developer for a response. I am also trying the DNS-Omatic as per the link. I will provide a final response in this thread in case it may help someone.

Finally, I found the solution and tested it a few times. It works perfectly fine without changing the proxy status in Cloudflare. The suggestion of DNS-O Matic in this thread did the trick. I have set up this without waiting for the DirectEngine software developer’s response.

DirectUpdate Engine >converts local IP to public IP and pushes to DNS-O Matic >from DN O Matic pushes the update public IP to Cloudflare. I followed these two instructions:

1.Use dynamic IP addresses · Cloudflare DNS docs
2. Although I don’t require the Fritzbox setup.
