There is a Cache By Device Type option under Automatic Platform Optimization, should I enable it? Is it recommended to enable or not?

Depends on how your website works - if your website is based on responsive design (i.e. one version of website works well on both desktop and mobile) then you don’t have to enable that option.
However, if your website is based on adaptive design (i.e. you separate desktop and mobile version of website with different code base such as JavaScript and CSS) then it’s recommended to have Cache by Device Type enabled because different content cache will be served to different types of devices.
