Australian IP geolocation incorrect (showing as United States)

Hi there,

  • I am in Australia. A client has a website which blocks United States IP addresses through the Cloudflare firewall.
  • Their IP starts with 161.8.29.* and is definitely Australian (verified by multiple geolocation services)
  • However, Cloudflare has been labelling it as United States and subsequently blocking it.

I have allowed the IP through now, but it’s concerning that it’s doing this. Is there somewhere I can report this to Cloudflare so they can correct their geolocation for this IP?

I believe Cloudflare uses Maxmind for IP Geolocation, so I think you should report it to them
