Argo Tunnel Routing Flow

Hey,
I am trying to understand the flow of Argo Tunnel.

  1. User makes request to mysite.com
  2. Managed by Cloud Flared and argo installed
  3. mysite.com processes request and sends the response back to the user.

Its clear till her. My Question is if

  1. mysite.com get data from a third party api (example.com/api), will the routing go via argo or that will be a direct connection ignoring argo to the third party ?

Maybe i am getting it wrong. But will be great if some can please help me on this.

Thanks

Probably best is the diagram from CF blog

If you lock down your origins to only be reachable via Cloudflare Tunnel, then you are sure that all requests that arrive to your origin went through Cloudflare edge. Think about it in this way: only Cloudflare knows how to translate your origin hostname into its Tunnel.

Hey, Yes, now that’s clear that if all origins are blocked, the only way to communicate will be via argo.
