When you go to whois.com to look at a site which hosting it has, it may say ns.cloudflare.com and then it is not possible to trace the site which hosting it has. Have I understood correctly?
Correct. When owners of sites proxy their DNS records through Cloudflare, then you are not able to see who the host is of the site unless there are unique headers or other identifying information in the responses
