I live in South Africa and have just set up a Cloudflare account. They have assigned two nameservers to the site I have added. My question is, during this setup, will Cloudflare have automatically detected that my server is in South Africa and have assigned it an appropriate nameserver in the same region? (ie. the datacenter in Johannesburg, South Africa). It would be of no use if the nameservers assigned was based in a different country. How would I know though?
(Or does the fact that it’s Anycast servers mean that it doesn’t really matter where they are, it would always find the fastest path to the client?)
