Yes, yes they did. But from what I know iOS nerfed side loading via nerfing iTunes. But this belongs in Apple’s forum. 
Regardless, it is an issue I too am experiencing with the iOS app - I’ll send in the console logs.
Not the same restrictions on Android as IOS, so sideload works fine.
Still no explanation for what is happening? I thought perhaps that having ability to access routers and modem on the LAN, but not the Internet itself might be a big clue. The modem is a Netgear CM500, so certainly not old. All devices and router have 1.1.1.1. + 1.0.0.1. set as DNS
No one has yet explained what happened, but just received latest update v2.0.2 and problem has been corrected.
