I am trying to enable Automatic Platform Optimization (APO) for my WordPress site using the official Cloudflare plugin. Every time I toggle APO on, it initially appears enabled, but after refreshing the page or revisiting the plugin settings, it switches back to “Off.” Also, Cloudflare does not seem to recognize that the plugin is installed on my site, and APO does not remain active.
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
- Checked that WordPress and the Cloudflare plugin are up to date.
- Confirmed my domain is active on Cloudflare and DNS records are proxied.
- Used valid API credentials (API Token or Global API Key).
- Verified there are no other caching or optimization plugins installed.
- Disabled all other plugins temporarily to rule out conflicts.
- Tried enabling APO via the Cloudflare dashboard (Speed → Optimization), but the plugin still shows it as “Off.”
