API Request Failed: POST /intel/attack-surface-report/checkers/spf_check (503)

Exact.

I saw this error but only once and it was on one domain using Namecheap privateemail service.

Cloudflare Support are aware of the error and have raised the issue with the internal engineering team to investigate.

Do you know if this issue could impact third party? I am trying to validate a Lightsail TLS cert for my load balancer and as part of the process I need to add CNAME records in CF. On the website that was causing the error we discuss in the present topic I get “invalid website” in my aws lightsail dashboard. However the exact same process works fine when creating a cert for another site that is also DNS managed in Cloudflare but wasn’t triggering the original 503 error we discussed.

I doubt it.

Make sure that CNAME is set to :grey: DNS Only.

It is set to DNS Only. I was successful when doing this for another domain. It only fails with the domain that was causing me the 503 in CF. I just find it a strange coincidence, though I am unable to establish a link.

I’m using the zohomail for my small team, and when I went to add the spf record in my dns management (Cloudflare), I got an error that said API Request Failed at the bottom of the dns page of the Cloudflare dashboard. When I removed the spf record and checked, Cloudflare no longer displays the problem.

This was resolved but I’ve re-opened the ticket as multiple people are reporting the same error again.
