Chamberlin support claim this phone is the issue and is blocked by cloudflare. LG says phone IMEI and ESN are clear no issue.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Signing in will pop the error code
Last phone, also LG v60 (broken screen ) working just fine with app

I don’t know what else would block a phone other than an IMEI but this is also the first i have even heard of cloudflare

I’d suspect IP more than phone.

Does it work on desktop? If so, if you disable mobile internet and connect the same wifi, does it work?

Wont work on wifi or mobil network, so yes that points to the phone. But why? All other apps work just fine. As i google this issue im not the only one there are hundreds of issues and they all seem to point to cloudflare.
I did put the wrong error code its 401.122

Can you post a screenshot of that? That error message isn’t one typical of Cloudflare.

From the others with this problem, most are convinced its a cloudflare issue. Chamberlin (myq) also keeps saying its cloudflare. Now maybe people are getting told the issue is cloudflare from chamberlin and really its chamberlin. I have no idea.

That’s not an error we can identify. And it’s within an app, so there’s no easy way to find the underlying issue.

You’d have to work with the app creator (Chamberlin?) to have them track down the issue.

The bottom line is that Cloudflare will very rarely unilaterally block a request. The most common reason would be a DDoS attack, which is unlikely in your situation. Other blocks would be due to security settings the account owner has configured in their Cloudflare dashboard.

If you provide your IP address to the app maker, they should be able to track down logs that explain what is going on.

Here’s the last two emails I received from Chamberlain support.

They are saying its cloudflare determining that the phone is a security risk. Your saying that’s not really possible.

I just don’t see how 2 phones, same make, model and running the same os with the same updates, one works and the other doesn’t.

Ill forward this information and my IP and see if they can make it make sense.

Get Outlook for Android

If Cloudflare is blocking it, it’d show up in the Firewall Events Log. “Device is a security risk” is not one of the checks. Browser Integrity Check*, on the other hand, is. It’d be nice if they could identify which rule blocked it. The event would look something like this:

But the rule wouldn’t necessarily be Cloudflare Managed Ruleset/File Inclusion. That one happens to be part of a Managed Ruleset I have enabled.

*Browser Integrity Check could be it, and that’s enabled by default, so I stand semi-corrected in that it’s configured by the site owner, as it’s on by default. Still…the firewall events log would say for sure why the request is blocked.

I have recieved a reply from chamberlain support, they asked for a screen shot video with me trying to log into app and then getting error. I did make and send video last week. I now recieved an email saying they cannot open one drive link, a week later. The video at 32mb is too large to direct email.
They claim to be in contact with cloudflare but i have my doubts on that. I feel like the video and the i cant open the link is just hey lets put some hoops out there because we are just far too incompetent to actually read the directions that are put in front of us and figure out how to access that information and return it to cloudflare.

If they are, ask them for a ticket #. We can escalate it. I suspect we’ll never hear back on the status of that ticket, but at least a ticket # would be some form of proof that they’re actually working on it with Cloudflare.

I will for sure ask them for a ticket number, but I really feel like im just getting the run around. I did make a much shorter, condensed video that I was able to direct email so they cant use that as an excuse to not to proceed forward. I was thinking why the video at all?? They are still thinking its on my end, like i cant log into the app, which means they probably never even tried to look for the log in report on the firewall.

Thank you for the continued support.

Same exact issue for me on a pixel4.

Called in and they ran through the same reasons/fixes.
-reinstall
-Make sure phone is updated
-account in good standing
-it’s cloudflare’s issue

They pushed a password reset without asking me, and that had the same error (i wasn’t typing my password in wrong)

They told me to escalate to cloudflare’s support, and when I asked them if they could do it since I do not have their piece of the puzzle to help this get fixed, they hung up on me. (Maybe it was coincidental, but either way it was unwarranted as I was being polite the whole time. I would understand if someone was yelling at them or being degrading)

After they hung up on me I got an generic email telling me to complete registration, and when i clicked on the link it took me into the app and is frozen on a landing screen.

While asking the lady helping me if we could escalate this, she kept saying they only have access to the same troubleshooting steps she has.

Not sure how to proceed except keep watch here.

Its not just you and me, there are tons of posts if you search the web. Being only a small fraction of people take the time to post, there are probably thousands of users being blocked.
I paid extra for these wifi equipped operators plus cameras and dammit I want them to work or Chamberlain should be forced to stop selling ■■■■ that doesn’t work as advertised.
Heres the latest correspondence from them, I’m now being sent to the Product Quality Team, still not holding my breath that they are actually contacting cloudflare.
