An SSL certificate is installed at my website, why do I see a Cloudflare certificate?
Yes, this question is supposed to be answered at: https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/204144518-SSL-FAQ#h_865954806521548960003696 but it is not very clear if there is an option to make this work. Sure, I understand that Cloudflare needs to decrypt traffic in order to cache and filter malicious traffic. But what if still want the certs to served from my backend server, how can I do that?

Served from it or just your own certificate being presented to the client?

probably served from it…
the thing is, that I have letsencrypt certificates issued on my backend server and these get renewed automatically already, so I would like to still have that.

Served would only work if you unproxy that record and essentially disable Cloudflare’s core service. Alternatively you can sign up for an Enterprise account and have a talk about a keyless setup, but that might be pricey.

Anyhow, you will need your Lets Encrypt certificate on your server anyhow but you will simply have the Cloudflare certificates as well. These will be managed by Cloudflare and you dont need to worry about that.
