An account you are a member of still requires Two-Factor Authentication (Code: 1105)

I bought a new phone and need to setup Google Authenticator / 2FA on it again.

I’m unable to disable 2FA to re-enable it with the new code, with the msg:

"An account you are a member of still requires Two-Factor Authentication (Code: 1105)"

How can I disable and re-enable 2FA without changing the company-wide account settings!?

The solution for this one was as follows:

  1. Revoke my account access to the org that requires 2FA
  2. Disable 2FA on my personal account
  3. Re-enable and configure 2FA on my personal account.
  4. Add/invite my account back to the previous org
