My snippets are ALL disabled this morning for some reason???
I had 2 going ( I just set them up and I created a ticket for them both).
But now in my account they are both set to Disable and my bot detection is basically disabled?
What happened??
They all say ‘Snippets here are missing a Snippet Rule. A rule must be added before a Snippet can be enabled.’
I can’t even enable them
What are you seeing if you make a snippet rule? Snippets can exist without a rule but a rule is needed to invoke them.
Ya… the snippet rules are all deleted and it made all the snippets stop it appears…
Right before this happened… I clicked to Disable

That seems to have broken something. Or it was at a very similar time. It took me like 5 minutes or so to discover that everything was disabled… i think… it wasn’t until I was doing my next checks against these bots to add more rules that I discovered everything was disabled. and then I checked a page with incognito (my ip is set to show the bot detection) and it didn’t show anything… So I am not 100% if it was the disabling of the other rule… but I was able to disable it… so everything had to have been enabled or I would have noticed it then…
Please advise, I don’t have a copy of all the snippet rules…
I need to get ‘BlockBots’ and ‘CookieCheck’ enabled again.
Is this issue just me? Or is it global?
Hello, where’s you go? LOL?! A lot of those rules were IP Specific to attacks I’ve been receiving all this week.

Hi guys, well I found part of the rules in a notepad I had open for the main snippet I need enabled. so i’m going to add that for now… but I hope that you can still figure this out and wonder still if it’s just me or what. I hope this rule is right, I had a bunch of tweaks to it yesterday. Anyway, ty for helping!!

So what is relevant is that both of the scripts were looking for a cookie and the second script was the exact same… but was showing null no matter what I did. I had to redirect to ?is_clearance=timestamp for now… I hope to figure out that caching issue, but there is no problems with the first script. IDK but I love the snippets thing and hope to hear something soon!

You can then redeploy these rules by sending these arrays back to the Snippet Rules API: Create/Update/Delete Snippet Rules
In the meantime, we’ve deployed a new dashboard release with additional safety measures to prevent this from happening again. We’re actively monitoring and working to pinpoint the root cause.
