After switching from pro to free I can't add a certain dns record

I switched from a pro plan back to a free one after noticing it actually slowed down my site, and I had a spectrum record for access.example.com

The record no longer shows but I can’t add that record, it tells me that a CNAME with that value already exists.

What can I even do of anything?

That sounds like a leftover record from Spectrum that’s not a regular DNS record. Support will have to remove it:
