After purging all cache, does it trigger server overload, I’m using APO and cache reserve. My website is receiving way too many request after purging and it shuts down my server. my website is thecityceleb.com
Hi there,
Sorry, not sure what the question is here - there is not much Cloudflare can do to avoid your origin being overloaded, if your origin. is getting more traffic than it can handle. Unless you are saying that this is not genuine traffic and needs to be blocked somehow?
If you are seeing impact when you are purging everything from cache, then you would need to avoid doing this, and instead purge only the resources you have worked on - or try to do it during relatively quieter periods for your site?
Alternatively you would need to have a bigger server to deal with the extra load, or alternatively upgrade to our Enterprise plan which allows you to do more granular purging (purge by hostname, prefix, cache-tags) to only purge certain things.
Hope this helps!
I noticed that when I turn on I’m under attack mode, the overload suddenly goes down. But whenever I purge my cache, my server overloads and shut down my website and it’s not due to traffics, maybe requests or something I know nothing about.
