After DNS outage my website never came back

Hi all,

Pro customer here, I submitted a ticket too 24 hours ago but no response so far even though I marked it as a Sev1.

Long story short…I have a website isn’t working. DNS is all ok! and I also host my website on Cloudflare pages…I did a DNS lookup for my website all come back with DNS Record not found.

The domain is bought through Cloudflare and hosted too

I do not however have DNSSEC enabled…should I? will this help? make it worse.

It all happened after the DNS outage on Friday which impacted Cloudflare websites

Greetings,

Thank you for asking.

I am sorry to hear you’re experiencing an issue.

May I ask you to post and share your domain name in bracketed dot [.] notation here and URL example to the particular resource with us so we could double-check, troubleshoot and provide some feedback information?

May I ask you to share your ticket number here with us so we could escalate this, if so?

I am not aware of any kind of incidents from Cloudflare Status page

Thank you for feedback information.

Ye, seems like NXDOMAIN error to me

Thank you for sharing, I’ve escalated this.

Not really the best day of the week to write to the support (no matter which service we’re using) or when incidents happen when we least expect them to

On the off chance…I looked up WhoIS it says “This registration has been SUSPENDED.” Not sure why…I have several other domains  all not impacted…

I wonder if it might have to be something with the nominet.uk

However, kindly let’s be patient a bit and see the response and help from Cloudflare in the meantime on the escalated issue. You should get a response on your ticket.

However the dates don’t match up, I bought it on December 13, 2022 and it was suspended same day! But looking at the portal my details are correct and so is my address

I think the information is wrong and it was the previous person who had it suspended and then it went up for grabs…otherwise it wouldn’t have been working all week

Sadly still no response from Customer Service, not even a X engineer has picked it up. Really disappointed at their slow response when I’m paying for Pro! I wish they would respond and acknowledge!

submitted another ticket and marked it as registrar , that got a response, the other two ignored !

For those coming back to this, I spoke with the registra for uk domains directly , they have now reinstated the domain. I wouldn’t recommend pro subscriptions to get a response from Support! as so far Cloudflare haven’t been able to respond properly  I will be cancelling my pro sub going forwards
