I am trying to proxy a dns record but when i proxy it i get this error: “This hostname is not covered by a certificate. To ensure full coverage, purchase Advanced Certificate Manager to use Total TLS for full certificate coverage of proxied hostnames.” We already have a certificate set up is it not possible to add another dns to the same certificate or would we have to purchase an additional certificate for it?
Cloudflare’s free certificates only cover your domain and first-level subdomains. If the DNS record you’re trying to proxy involves second-level subdomains (e.g., sub2.sub1.example.com
), you will need to purchase the Advanced Certificate Manager to extend your certificate’s coverage.
