I am trying to add a custom domain to my Shopify shop and im getting the Error 1000.

Did you follow Shopify’s guide to add a custom domain? Did you spell the domain correctly on Shopify?

Yes. It shows up in Cloudflare just fine.

And what do you see as your domain status on Shopify?

Its just stuck on checking

Can you try to change the DNS record in Cloudflare to DNS-Only please?

Now its working just fine.

Why wouldnt it work the other way?

You can enable the proxy now, they just had to verify the DNS record once to begin with (is my guess).

Nope. After turning the Proxy on. I get this error in Shopify now.
