Adding additional non Cloudflare nameservers

#1

I have migrated my DNS zone file onto Cloudflare and I am trying to add another nameserver to the existing two provided by Cloudflare.

However I am getting the following alert:

Only these two Cloudflare nameservers should be listed at your registrar. All other nameservers must be removed.

Does Cloudflare (Free DNS Hosting) deny having additional nameservers? I am trying to include an on-premises DNS server to the existing two Cloudflare nameservers.

Thanks

Sorry, it’s Cloudflare name servers only. This prevents conflicting entries from causing problems.

Yes. Many of the services Cloudflare provides require proxying and your on-premises DNS server wouldn’t be able to provide that. If you are only using Cloudflare for DNS services, having Cloudflare as a secondary DNS provider is available on an Enterprise plan.
