Adding a .tech domain

Hey everyone,

I am attempting to add a recently purchased domain which is a .tech but I am getting “is not a registered domain” error message in cloudflare.

I have quite a few domains in my account and have never seen this issue before.

Anyone else experienced it?

If you recently (some mins/hours ago) bought the doain then pls wait a day untill CF will see this Domain as registered

Just to add some detail:

The error Code: 1049 means the domain isn’t registered, the domain has no name servers, the domain name servers can’t be resolved, or the domain name servers don’t contain any DNS records and as a result the domain cannot be added to Cloudflare.

  • Verify the domain is registered, run a whois command to verify if the domain is valid, $ whois example.com.
  • Move to a different DNS provider prior to adding your domain to Cloudflare.
