Add TXT Records

Hello,

I recently created 6 emails with go daddy and I am unable to set them up because I need to add TXT records to my Cloudflare account. I cannot find any articles on how to do this and there is no customer support number or chat…

You can add a txt record by following our document here - Manage DNS records · Cloudflare DNS docs

As for contacting Cloudflare support, you have to have an Enterprise account for phone support, and that’s pretty much only for emergancies. Chat support is available for Business plans, and you can submit a ticket as a Free customer if its related to an account, billing, or registrar issue. Here is our document covering those details - Contacting Cloudflare Support · Cloudflare Support docs

Since this request doesn’t fall under the Free support mentioned please continue to use our community and let us know here if you have any troubles creating a record.

I am having trouble. Once I click on the clod flare dashboard I do not see where to select an account or a domain.

is this page correct? I honestly don’t know what im doing

That page (and e.g. the link shown) from your screenshot shows that it would be the correct page where you can add, edit or delete DNS records.

You’re more than welcome to ask questions along the way.

Just remember, the more specific you’re asking about/explaining your issues, the easier it will be to assist.

I don’t get how to actually add the record. Whatever I did didn’t work on go daddy’s end

Have you actually checked the tutorial @kampjose mentioned above with “a record”?

If so, where exactly are you struggling after following that one?

Can you elaborate?

  1. What exactly did they tell you to do?

  2. Can you show what exactly you have done so far?

  3. What result are you seeing, and how does it differ from what you want?

This is what I’ve added but it hasn’t changed anything on go daddy’s end

What are you expecting to change on GoDaddy’s end?

Perhaps we should start from the beginning and make sure that everything is as it needs to be.

What is your domain name? If it is aquadrayco.com, the nameservers in your earlier screenshot are listed as dexter and sloan. The nameservers assigned at your domain registrar are showing as annalise and jihoon. That discrepancy suggests that you may have two Cloudflare accounts and are not making changes in the one where your domain is active.

Im just trying to set up the outlook email accounts that I have with them. but they are saying that they don’t have access to the domain since we have it under clourflare

You are not in the right Cloudflare account. You need to either log in to the Cloudflare account that has annalise and jihoon as the assigned nameservers, or update the nameservers at your registrar to use dexter and sloan that are assigned to the domain in the account that you have been sharing screenshots from.

I am very disappointed with Cloudflare I was unable to add the DNS records and had to switch over to go daddy. I had to pay over $400 to do this. Is there someone I can speak with regarding the billing on this account and any other account I may have?

Why did you have to switch to GoDaddy? Did you follow my suggestion to make sure that you were in the correct Cloudflare account? That would not have required switching anything to GoDaddy, nor spending any money.

Paid to whom to do what?

Cloudlfare plans are non-refundable and paid in advance. If you feel that you have a billing issue that you need to discuss with Cloudflare, you will need to open a support request from within the dashboard of your Cloudflare account.

Questions about billing will need to be resolved by the Customer Support team and cannot be resolved on the Community.

To contact the billing team, please submit a new support request from your Cloudflare account directly through the Cloudflare dashboard. Visit https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/support and choose Billing. Please share your ticket number here so that we can track it.
