Add private nameservers to my domain registrar please

What is the name of the domain?

izzyhostcom

What is the issue you’re encountering

I hope you’re doing well. I’m reaching out because I need to set up custom child nameservers for my domain. I’ve already added A records for ns1 and ns2 in my Cloudflare DNS panel, both pointing to 86.106.183.200. However, I need these nameservers to be officially registered as private nameservers so my clients can use them when pointing their domains to my hosting.

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

Nameservers

Then you’ve already done all that needs to be done and you can start using your nameserver.
There is nothing else that needs to happen.

However, your 2 nameservers should not be on the same machine.

But they told me this:
Thank you for the update.

You have only added A records in the active DNS zone of izzyhost.com, which is in Cloudflare. Now you need to contact them as they are the domain registrar to register the private nameservers for you.

We remain available for further assistance.

I am using spanel, and I want to use my own custom nameservers. Let me know what i am missing.

You are not missing anything. A records are all you need. There is no further “registration”.

Hello, Isaac,

Could you ask them how you can “register glue records for private name servers”? This is the exact thing you should do, as these A records are not enough; they are needed indeed, but you need glue records as well.

Kind regards,

They answer me that after told them that.

You can’t. Cloudflare does not offer this, and it should not be needed.
If you really need this, you have to transfer the domain to a different registrar.

But why in the cloudfire documentation says we have to contact cloudfire and they will do it

Zone custom nameservers · Cloudflare DNS docs).

This has nothing to do with the problem you are experiencing. “Custom Nameservers” on CF means if you want to use ns1.izzyhost.com and ns2.izzyhost.com instead of uriah.ns.cloudflare.com and cass.ns.cloudflare.comfor your own zone(s). It has nothing to do with your own nameservers for your customers.
