Activating the Cloudflare proxy results in mySQL to go in error on my website

Based on this article

I experience almost the same situation.
We are running a prestashop store and have an SSL certification provided by Sectigo RSA.
But when we activate the proxy on our store in cloudflare, it takes some time to get an error message for our MYSQL “MySQL server has gone away”

Can you please help us to identify if this issue is coming from the cert as mentionned in the article?

That thread didn’t appear to suggest a solution of configuring the SQL connection to use the IP address instead of a hostname. In my case, it’s the same server, so I configure it to connect to ‘localhost’.

You mean the database should be called Localhost?

Don’t do anything to the database. But your app is configured to connect to some server for the database. It may have been configured to connect to (your domain), and that won’t work. So you’d have to configure the app to connect to the IP address or maybe even ‘localhost’.
