Hi there, I am migrating from the Firewall & Rules API to the Rulesets API. However, I still have the old Firewall UI, using Firewall rules in my domain. Can someone from Cloudflare activate the new WAF UI (Custom rules)?
If you’re on an Enterprise Plan, please open a support ticket to request the migration. If not, try hard-reloading (Ctrl-F5 on Windows) the page and see if that makes the UI show the Custom Rules panel, as opposed to Firewall Rules. There’s an issue where, as we move from zone to zone, sometimes the UI will persist in showing Firewall Rules for zones where the migration has already been processed.
I am on a Free plan. I’ve tried reloading the page, nothing happens. That’s why I need help directly from support.
Do you have extra Firewall Rules, disabled rules that are in excess of your plan’s allowed 5 rules? If so, please see the following warning:
Migration status
- Cloudflare already migrated all zones in Free, Professional, and Business plans. However, the automated migration failed for zones with more firewall rules than the ones allowed in the zone plan. If your zone is in this situation, delete any extra firewall rules you may have. Cloudflare will try to migrate the zone again in the near future. Both your current quota and the quota included in your plan are displayed in the Cloudflare dashboard in Security > WAF > Firewall rules.

They got it solved! Thanks @cbrandt - It was something weird as I had a firewall rule that was not visible in the UI, but it was accesible via API. So I needed to remove that rule in order for the migration to work.
