I have started to manage an already existing website, and it appears the DNS of this website are on Cloudflare. I have no idea and neither does the owner of the domain what the account is…
I tried requesting password reset using all emails that could be used, no reception as of now.
So we have access to the servers, to the registrar, but not to the DNS, any idea how I can reach someone who will be able to help me, should I provide all necessary information ?
Many thanks !
Whats the domain?
Hi ! I am joining this community because I have started to manage an already existing website, and it appears the DNS of this website are on Cloudflare. I have no idea and neither is the owner of the domain what the account is…
hi, it’s plongee.ch
That domain is on Cloudflare. I am not sure what your question is though. Are you saying you have no idea how to access the Cloudflare account? In that case I’d suggest you create a new Cloudflare account, switch over at your registrar to the new pair of nameservers, and manage everything from that new account.
The domain is on Switchplus, is it the same thing ?
As what?
What is your actual question? That is not clear.
I don’t know what email is connected to the account managing the Cloudflare DNS to be able to manage it.
I thought it was Swicthplus, but I have been told it’s separate.
Is it the case or not ?
That is your registrar as far as I understand and something completely different.
As for the Cloudflare account, see my earlier response.
Thanks for the quick replies, I really appreciate, even if I feel very stupid.
I do need the access the current Cloudflare account that manages those DNS though, otherwise I might lose some data if I just create a new Cloudflare account ?
I have some email addresses that could match that domain.
If you create a new account you will have to set everything up from scratch, however that might be easier than trying to recover the current account if you dont really know which email address was for it. You could try to reset the password for all the email addresses you have, but you might even run into some limits in this case.
