Accessing hosting control panel via server hostname over SSL

#1

Hello all. I have a DigitalOcean droplet with hostname example.com, and that domain is setup with Cloudflare.

I have assigned an SSL via Let’s Encrypt and I am able to access my hosting control panel from https://example.com:8083/ only when I have disabled Cloudflare (orange cloud). FYI, I use Vesta control panel, which is similar to cPanel but open source.

I have tried Crypto FULL and Full (Strict) without success.

All the websites I host on the same server use SSL and they load fine with Cloudflare (orange cloud) and crypto set to Full.

Just the server hostname itself, when accessed, requires that I disable Cloudflare.

Any ideas why this may be?

Thanks in advance.

The port is not supported.

For requests made via HTTP:

80
8080
8880
2052
2082
2086
2095

For requests made via HTTPS:

443
2053
2083
2087
2096
8443

I don’t know if you can change this in your panel or not.
