Access to the server in Ukraine from Russia

Good afternoon, I wanted to make my minecraft server accessible from any country, but due to military restrictions, players from Russia cannot connect to my local server located in Ukraine. I read that CDN technology can help solve this problem, but I was never able to set everything up properly. Could you tell me how to do it right?

CDN not, but then Cloudflare is not really a CDN anyhow.

Proxies can, as they substitute the original client connection.

As it so it happens, Cloudflare’s primary service is a proxy service and may in theory solve your issue. However there are two caveats.

  1. Cloudflare also runs datacenters in Russia and those connections may still be considered “Russian”. Depending on how the Ukraine censors these connections, they may even block Cloudflare connections.
  2. Proxying Minecraft connections is insanely expensive on Cloudflare. With just a handful of players you may quickly be in the three, four, or even five digit range of the freest of the free dollars :cowboy_hat_face:

In short, Cloudflare is probably not the service you are looking for. If possible, advise your users to use a VPN service, which allows them to pretend to be in a different location. Otherwise, there may be also other similar services to Cloudflare which are dedicated to Minecraft. You may want to take a look at those as well, though that topic would of course be beyond scopeof the forum here.
