Yes I did that yesterday.
I have a vps at TransIp and my domain at Whois.com. Yesterday after registration there at cloudflare I change the nameservers at Whois pointing to cloudflare and entered all the necessary A records here at cloudflare amd after that everything was working just fine. And when checked dns checker my ip of the vps was showing. All good I think/thoughed…
And since this morning I cannot reach my site anymore… and neither the DA. And if I check now the dns checker it shows some ip addresses of cloudflare… and where enter my domain name I get an error 523… I cannot access my site or the DA…
I don’t know what I have to change more… or where I have to change something
Make sure you have set the correct IP address in the Cloudflare DNS, make sure your origin is configured to support SSL and that your SSL/TLS setting in Cloudflare is set to “Full (strict)” or “Strict” here… https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/ssl-tls
If unsure, set your DNS record in Cloudflare to “DNS only” which will bypass Cloudflare and go to your origin directly. Then check your can reach your site using HTTP and HTTPS. Once fixed, you can re-enabled the Cloudflare proxy again.
I have tried the suggestions as you said and I see now the ip of my vps in the dns checker but the site still ain’t reachable…
The 523 error is gone now but now it says the the server ain’t reachable.
If checked my hosting where I have the vps and one thing I’m not sure about is the ‘dns resolver’ ,where should this point to in my case…??
As your records are now set to “DNS only”, if those are the correct IP addresses, then requests are going directly to your VPS and not through Cloudflare. Any issue is on your VPS so you need to check there.
Once you have it working, you can re-enable Cloudflare again.
