A new edge certificate is created each time a sub domain is added

Hello,

not an issue, more a question actually

Each time a new subdomain is added to my DNS, a new edge certificate (universal) is created : how can we explain this behaviour since we have a dedicated cert that covers *.mydomain.com, mydomain.com ?

could it be related to the fact that we’re using a partial zone ?
what will happen if we convert to Full DNS Setup ?
