I’m seeing the following in my dashboard:
A few more steps are required to complete your setup.
Add an A, AAAA, or CNAME record for www so that www.**.life will resolve.
Add an A, AAAA, or CNAME record for your root domain so that **.life will resolve.
I’m fairly certain that not setting www won’t affect anything; however, is the same true for the root? I believe with other providers they’ve set the root A record for me. Do I need to do anything here? Thank you.
If you’ve added your domain to Cloudflare and are using their nameservers too, then yeah, sure, you’ll want to set the root A record to point to your web server, unless you have no website?
I assume your previous providers were probably the web host and domain registrar at the same time? If so then they likely automatically configure the domain for your convenience.
It’s worth setting up the www CNAME too so that you can at least redirect it to the root domain, otherwise anyone that types www.yourwebsite will end up not seeing your website.
Yeah, I don’t have a website; so, it sounds like I’m good?
Yeah, in that case you can ignore those messages.
