My website went offline after i tried to update a widget on WordPress.
I cant access the hosting management, because a company has the access info.
This company built the website sime time ago.
And i cant reach them any more.
I saw the dns is pointing Cloudflare.
Is there a way i can access a backup and get on top of things without this company?
If you have never retrieved any Cloudflare account details, the account that the domain belongs to is likely not yours at all.
If you still have access to the domain registrar (e.g. where you pay for your domain), you might be able to change the name servers through them, which means you could transfer the domain in to an account of yours, with the following procedure:
That would be able to assist in re-gaining access to control your domain (DNS, et cetera).
Cloudflare generally runs as a reverse proxy, as a middleman between your visitors and the server hosting your site.
→ Without Cloudflare: Visitor ↔ Web server
→ With Cloudflare: Visitor ↔ Cloudflare ↔ Web server
Without access to the “Web server” (which would be operated by the ones you refer to as “this company”), you wouldn’t be able to get your data back.
