Called Go daddy and was told the issue is with Cloudflare… anyone else have the same problem?

Hello dear,

This kind of problem can happen when origin is unreachable in HTTPS mode.

You may find this information helpful.

I would suggest, try keeping Flexible SSL mode.

In case you see redirect loop, please follow this instruction.

Let me know if you have additional queries.

Thanks

Please, do not. This is the most insecure and most discouraged setting.

Hi @johnnyburke85,

I would suggest that it is an issue with GoDaddy! They need to configure your site to use SSL and you need a valid certificate on the server.

You could pause Cloudflare on the site, sort out the SSL config on GoDaddy and re-enable Cloudflare.
You can pause Cloudflare from the Overview tab of the Cloudflare Dashboard, bottom right under Advanced Actions.

You can read Why flexible SSL mode is not the best choice!

I do agree with your words that Flexible is not an idle thing one would expect from SSL. It just for eyeball to get HTTPS. Surely, having encrypted connection from origin level would be better. OP need SSL for that. I just wanted to make things bit easier to bring site back quickly.
