Error 522 Ray ID: 9113af84aa45c3e5 Connection timed out The initial connection between Cloudflare’s network and the origin web server timed out. As a result, the web page can not be displayed. What is the issue you’re encountering
Our web-site is located in Germany, however, clients are mostly connecting to the site from Ukraine region. We have been observerving the long timeout from clients to our web-site (up to 25 seconds) since yestarday. During these timeouts a packets from clients didn’t reach the web-server and were missing in the way. Cloudflare location is Warsaw. Please help to resolve this issue
What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?
When the disabled proxy parameter at Cloudflare and it passes through the traffic directly to the web-server we see the allowable timeout as should be (up to 2-3 seconds).
Also, we use an alternative DNS name - that does not Proxy through Cloudflare and checks when the site is not working.
Moreover, this RAY ID parameter cannot be found in the Cloudflare Security events
Hi. I have the same proble with my sites second day from 12.02.2025. Server is in Ukrane most of users too.
I had to disable the proxy, otherwise the site is very difficult to use
I hope the problem will be solved.
I have same problem, and it’s refer ONLY to clients from Ukraine. Traffic terminates on Cloudflare Warsaw with Error 522 connection timeout.
Deeply investigation shows that no packet comes to destination server from a cloud.
I suppose that CF try to use IPv6 firstly, and that is the problem. My server doesn’t support ipv6 completely so even i can not dump trafiifc that belongs to ipv6.
We are experiencing exactly the same issue as described in the threads above, affecting clients with Polish and Ukrainian IP addresses. The problem started on 12.02 at 00:56.
Also I would like to add:
Request originated from Germany and server is located in Austria, so this isn’t limited to users from Ukraine. Seems the Warsaw data center is the common denominator. Had to turn off Cloudflare until issue is resolved.
