522 error response with huge Data consumption without request to origin server

We were reported having downtime on our main website on July 8 (5:30 AM - 8:30 AM IST), our website was hosted on the WP-Engine platform. Based on analysis there was no request was received to the origin server and but there was huge data consumption.
On the Cloudflare end, we couldn’t find any maintenance/downtime on the specific time duration.

We have received 522 error responses on downtime
Please provide detail on any change or cause of downtime from Cloudflare and the best way to diagnose the issue.

A 522 error typically happens when Cloudflare requests to the origin (your webserver) get blocked. Review the suggestions in this Community Tip for troubleshooting ideas.

Thanks for the response, Is there a way to verify with logs or any data to confirm on this, so that we can request hosting provider to diagnose on the webserver, it will be much helpful. thanks in advance
