Since November 26, the error 522 has frequently appeared. Certain images and css are not loaded. The symptom is presented with http and https.
Cloudflare’s page is also frequently displayed reporting that they have internal issues.
Coincidentally, I found a report (https://www.cloudflarestatus.com/ INCIDENT 5661523) in which cloudflare reports that on November 26, many cases with error 522 were reported in the world but that they have already solved it. I don’t know if this is related to the 522 error that occurs on my website.
Diagnostic Center detects errors due to the site returning with error 522.
My server web is Windows Server 2012 R2 and is OK.
According to this, the 522 error problem is generated by CLOUDFLARE and may be related to incident 5661523 from November 26.
I am grateful to cloudflare for helping me confirm and fix the problem described.
Hi @iscodeb2b, can you share the name of the domain? Are you still having issues. Is it from all locations or only certain locations. All the time or sometimes?
If from all locations but only sometimes, it may be rate limiting. If it’s some locations and all the time, it may be whitelisting of IPs. Other quick fix ideas to investigate, in this #CommunityTip, Community Tip - Fixing Error 522: Connection timed out
A 522 error typically happens when Cloudflare requests to the origin (your webserver) get blocked, it’s not an error cloudflare generates and your hosting provider may be able to give some insight into any traffic or load issues.
When you have that detail, also share it with Support on ticket 2036633, I merged you duplicate tickets into that one in order to not slow the process for everyone.

I see errors on
shotsherpa.com intermittently from all locations. Given this and the #CommunityTip that was shared earlier, it may be a load problem or rate limiting at your origin server. Cloudflare does not generate 522 errors.
It may be helpful to investigate rate limiting and load issues with your hosting provider while you are waiting for Support to review the details you gave them, they’ll respond on 2036633.
