522 after switching name servers to Cloudflare for AWS hosted service

Cloudflare reports 522 after I change GoDaddy registered domain to Cloudflare name servers. Service hosted on AWS.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I have verified that the AWS host is running and healthy.
I have verified that the CNAME records match exactly with the prior successful DNS records prior to switch to Cloudflare name servers. Eg. All my subdomains are pointed at the AWS load balancer URL.
I have verified that the AWS load balancer has certificates for the subdomains I’m using (and they were working properly prior to switch to Cloudflare NS)

I apologize. I see that I put error 422. It that should be 522. I see no way to edit my original post.

Ensure that you are using the Full (Strict) ssl mode on Cloudflare.
