521 from cloudflare, but pausing makes site work again

All my sites on Cloudflare hosted by InnoHosting (small hosting company with servers in LA) on server105.verygoodserver.com have been giving me 521 errors (Cloudflare says it’s working but the host isn’t).

Example site: http://magnetize.ca/

But the host is working just fine. When I pause Cloudflare on that site it works again.

I imagine this started just recently?

Also - could you provide some info:

  • Does your origin server have SSL/HTTPS itself?
  • What is the “SSL” mode in the SSL/TLS app of your sites?
  • Do you have any firewall set up, either at your host or via something like UFW/iptables?
  • Have you already whitelisted Cloudflare IPs?
