500 - Internal Server Error when requesting JS files built by pages

Hello

I experienced an issue twice now and I would like to start with a post in the community site.

The issue was: requesting a Javascript file results in 500 internal server error sometimes, re-deploying the site fixes it.

This happened recently when I switch from Node 12 to 16, the developer quickly reverted that change, later it was found the Node version was not the issue, we are on Node 16 now.

It happened again with me today when I added some lazy imports in the React app (resulting in new and more file chunks), requesting a file like curl -v https://app.venue.live/static/js/5.1923b1a2.chunk.js would result in Internal Server Error, once I redeployed the same build, the url (and app) was available again.

Checking the build logs https://dash.cloudflare.com/24b5cdcea47d8a71e7a8c67d94d1afef/pages/view/venue-ui/6f5adb60-8e50-48de-b234-0ad71558b77f that file does show as part of the original flawed build.

Is that something that the team is aware?

Hi @danilo,

The Workers Team are more active on their Discord server, so as you have not received a response here, I would recommend asking on Discord if you haven’t already.

Please do feel free to update the thread here if you get a resolution, to help others who may find this topic.

I messaged them in Discord as well :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

It happened again, this time in a preview branch:
