What is the issue you’re encountering

Error 1014

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

This is the CNAME record I have setup in Cloudflare: blog proxy → lightscapeblog blogwebsite com which causes the error.

The destination site is not using Cloudflare as far as I can determine. It is a hosting service.

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

DNS records

The service behind the sub-domain which you’re using seems to be on a Cloudflare network, or already using Cloudflare, therefrom you should be able to use unproxied :grey: (DNS-only) for that particular CNAME sub-domain.

Looks like it’s working now, did you unproxy :grey: (DNS-only) as it’s stated in the below article? Could you confirm it’s working now?

I changed to DNS vs. Proxy in the CNAME setting and still no joy.

blog.lightscapeimagery.com should go to http://lightscapeblog.wpenginepowered.com

but instead it throws the error.

The goal here is that the first URL should land on the second URL page where the BLOG (and only the BLOG) will be hosted.

Thank you for feedback.

From my understanding, you want to redirect users?

If so, you should have the DNS records as A type instead of CNAME blog.lightscapeimagery.com pointed to the temporary IP address such as 192.0.2.1 proxied :orange: .

Then, using Redirect Rules, you can redirect your users to https://lightscapeblog.wpenginepowered.com/.

Otherwise, you want your Website visitors type blog.ligtscapeimagery.com and to see the content from https://lightscapeblog.wpenginepowered.com/ ?
