My DNS is set to 1.1.1.3 to protect (and restrict) my family from objectionable content. My son discovered search.brave.com, which is a new search engine, and after going there, set SafeSearch to Off, then was able to view pornographic images.
I thought 1.1.1.3 would maintain the SafeSearch Moderate filter even if the SafeSearch filter was turned off in the settings of the browser. Using DuckDuckGo as the search engine in Firefox forces Moderate filtering but going directly to search.brave.com or even qwant.com will allow SafeSearch filtering to be turned off and not block objectionable images.
I need help understanding what is and isn’t possible. Thank you.
